Export your data and understand reset

Save a complete copy of your MonthMade records and understand what happens when you reset the app.

Create a complete export

  1. Open Settings → Data.
  2. Choose Export under Export Data.
  3. Choose where to save the JSON file.
  4. Wait for the export result, then keep the file somewhere you can find it again.

Export is available in Free as well as Pro. It remains available if a trial or subscription ends.

A complete copy of your data

Income · payments · work calendar
Time history · presets · preferences

Exported files contain the original values, even when amounts are hidden in the app

Know what the file contains

A complete export can include preferences, income sources and pictures, schedules, calendar changes, payments, complete time history, and Pomodoro presets. It is a data archive rather than a formatted invoice or a presentation report.

The current privacy display does not redact the file. If you are sending a screenshot to support, hide sensitive values; do not send a complete export unless you have deliberately chosen to share that information.

Make a copy before resetting

Reset All Data removes income, payments, time sessions, presets, schedules, and calendar changes while keeping app preferences. The reset controls remain available on every plan.

Export any records you need before choosing Reset. Review the app’s confirmation carefully and confirm only when you intend to remove the working dataset.

Understand what uninstalling leaves behind

Deleting the app alone may leave its local container, private iCloud copy, or exports you saved elsewhere. If you intend to clean up cloud data, use the app’s reset flow while sync is enabled before deleting MonthMade.

User-selected export files are never removed automatically. Keep or delete those copies separately according to what you want to retain.
